Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y la Divina Misericordia

Faustina nació el 25 de agosto de 1905 en la aldea polaca de Glogowiec. Fue la tercera hija entre diez hermanos de una familia piadosa. De muy temprana edad, oyó en su alma la llamada a la vida religiosa. El 30 de abril de 1926 recibió el hábito religioso y el nombre de Sor Faustina del Santísimo Sacramento.

Yo...entrego y consagro al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús mi persona y mi vida, mis acciones, trabajos y sufrimientos, para no servirme ya de ninguna parte de mí ser sino para amarle, honrarle y glorificarle. Esta es mi voluntad irrevocable: ser todo suyo y hacerlo todo por su amor, renunciando de todo corazón a cuanto pudiera desagradarle.

Saint Faustina Kowalska and the Divine Mercy

The Mercy of God has no limits, it is his highest attribute. The word mercy has its origin in two Latin words: misereri, which means to have compassion, and cor, which means heart. To be merciful is to have a compassionate heart. Mercy, along with joy and peace, are the effects of love; that is, of charity.

”Proclaim that mercy is the greatest attribute of God. All the works of My hands are crowned with mercy ”. (301)

”Your misery is not an obstacle to My mercy. My daughter, write that the greater the misery of a soul, the greater the right to My mercy ”. (1182)

”I am more generous to sinners: for them I have shed My blood; those who are not afraid to approach Me, they are the ones who most need My mercy ”. (1275)

Receiving His Mercy forces us to be merciful to our neighbor.
